Movie Clips on your Digital Picture Frame
Most people don’t realize that their digital camera can capture video clips as well as still pictures. Quality varies from camera to camera, but it can be nice to not lug around a second (usually larger) video camera. When you take videos on your digital camera, you can quickly display them on most digital frames. Just take the card out of your camera, slide it into the frame and navigate to the video setting on the digital frame menu. You should now see the video file you recorded. Hit play and there’s the video clip.

Currently the Frame Channel software works with the Big Eframe’s WiFi models DPF3220 and DPF3219, and PhotoVu’s WiFi models PV1750 and PV1965. Here’s FrameChannel’s description from their website:

Samsung is joining its rival Philips in the Digital Picture frame market. In a few months, Samsung will be offering an 8? and 12? WiFi enabled digital frames. They will first start selling a non-wifi 7? model. (available on amazon.com by May 20th). Little details have been released about these frames. Rumors say they will automatically seek out your wireless network and display pictures from your windows media player. It’s also rumored they will have the ability to receive RSS feeds. We’ll keep you posted on what we see and hear once the frames are officially released.
