My memory card from my digital camera does not fit in my digital picture frame
Q. I received a digital picture frame as a gift and the memory card from my camera does not fit in the the memory card slots on the digtial frame.
A. This question comes up a lot. For some reason, digital camera manufacturers like to come up with their own flash memory cards. I’m sure from an engineering perspective they feel like they are creating the best card for their product. Unfortanuately for us consumers there are too many card types. This becomes an issue not only when you are trying to use a digital frame, but also when you put the memory cards into the drives on your computer.
There is a fix for this problem. You can purchase a memory card adapter. The adapter allows you to insert your memory card into it and then your card will have the same physical demensions as the adapter. The most popular memory card types are compact flash, Memory stick, memory stick pro, multimedia card (MMC) and Secure Digital (SD). Now you can use your memory card in the memory card slots on your computer or digital frame. It’s like the old adapters that were made so you could put a cassette tape into an eight track player.
