Printed Photo Album and Other Printing Providers for your Digital Pictures

We’ve had a few questions from folks who would like to create Photo Albums and other things (shirts, mouse pads, calanders) from digital pictures they have stored on their computers. What I’m talking about are applications that allow you to select pictures, select layout, and then have the product created and sent to you. No more speding hours sliding photos into the plastic photo holders in your album. These pictures print directly onto the page. Pretty cool. Here are links to a few sites.. And a brief description. If you have used these sites please leave your reviews below.
Kodak Easyshare Gallery www.kodakgallery.com
I have used the Easyshare software to manage pictures on my PC for three years. I’ve been happy with the software. Its easy to use and has extra features like the Easyshare Gallery add on. You need to create a new login to get into the Gallery from the software that resides on your computer. You can also use the Gallery via the web and you will have to manually upload your photos. The desktop software makes this process a little easier. Once you have your pictures in the gallery there a lots of options for your pictures, in addition to the photo album. You can print mouse pads or mugs or calander… and you can order hard copies of the prints.
iPhoto www.apple.com/ilife/iphoto
In order to print the book you will need to group the pictures you want in the book into an Album in iPhoto first. Just click the order book button on the bottom of the screen and you’re ready to go.
Picasa http://picasa.google.com/
Another great application from google. In order to print your photos click on the “order prints” button on the bottom of the screen. From here you are taken to a list of provider who can print your pictures, create photo albums, and even print your picture on a stamp.
My Publisher www.mypublisher.com
The steps to select your photos and publish your album are very easy to follow. You download a piece of software onto your computer, then review and select the pictures from your computer. Next pick the layout and themes you want, then select the Album Cover. And last place your order and pay. The costs seem reasonable for the time and hastle your saving. These can make gifts and mypublisher allows you to share your Albums with others. They operate in the US, UK and EU.
Kinko’s http://fedex.kinkos.com/fpfk/index.php?CMP=ILC-FPFK116
This is pretty cool. You can print any document out a local kinko’s copy center. You can select the paper, binding and finish style. I haven’t tried it out yet, but if you have a small business and need to put a professional quality presentation together this seems like a great option.
