Slideshow Sequencing on Digital Picture Frames

Why are my pictures displayed in random order on my digital picture frame? When I loaded them, all the pictures were in order?
This is a frequent problem. Some of the frames with better software (ie Philips) address this problem. (on the philips, you can select the random sequence or sequential). If you encounter this problem, there is a work around. You just need to rename you photos with a new, numeric name. For instance, say you have have three photos: digitalphoto_birthday.jpg, digitalphoto_wedding.jpg, and digitalphoto_flowers.jpg. You would like them to be displayed as: flowers, wedding and then birthday. You would need to rename digitalphoto_flowers.jpg to 001.jpg, then digitalphoto_wedding.jpg to 002.jpg, and then digitalphoto_birthday.jpg to 003.jpg. This can be a little time consuming if you have a lot a pictures. I’ve also found if you have over 10 pictures, you should start at 011.jpg instead of 001.jpg. I’m not sure exactly why, but trust me.
